Ever had that nagging feeling that a wonderful festival is going on abroad, with some bands you adore (or are just curious about) – but you’re ten thousand miles away from it and don’t have enough money let alone time to see it?
So that’s… how many of you, exactly? Let me see those hands up… one, two, three… fifty. Wow, that’s a lot more than I thought! Wait, there are a few more up… wow.
Festival season may be over for the summer, but that doesn’t mean that it won’t continue on in other countries for the rest of the year or before next time. In turn, it doesn’t mean that metalheads like you and me aren’t done traveling, either.
In a bid to keep up with what’s going on in Europe and the North American continent (and all of Asia, if something cool’s happening that you want to read about), Me(n)tal-Meltdown wants to bring you – the audience – festival coverage on our online pages. That’s day reviews, photos and (if we’re lucky) even interviews with fans who travel all the way to see their favourites and more play live. In this day and age, what is more important to keeping the metal world alive, than live (experience)?
To make this happen however, we need help - your help, to be exact. Especially if you live outside of the United Kingdom.
If you’re interested and would like to provide live festival reviews to Me(n)tal-Meltdown, drop us a line at
joutsen_cygnus21 [at] yahoo [dot] com
with the heading, ‘Me(n)tal-Meltdown Reviews’ and a sample of your writing in the form of a live gig review, and we’ll get back to you.
If all works out, you’ll be reading about Wacken, Inferno, Maryland Deathfest and more on this site!
Good luck, and I hope to read from you soon!
Yours Forever in Metal;
Ann
